Serious Game Production & GBL Integration
This teaser video, produced by the programming team, showcases the final look and feel of a Game-Based Learning (GBL) module for third year chemistry students. My role, as Utrecht University employee, was multifaceted: I acted as the Instructional Designer and Scientific Supervisor, inventing the core game mechanics to ensure scientific accuracy and learning goal integration. Critically, I also led the visual team, overseeing the artistic direction and quality control of all in-game assets and UX/UI to guarantee a high-quality, professional aesthetic.
Animated Explainer for Article in Journal of the American Chemical Society
This is an example of a dedicated scientific paper animation, created to communicate the complex findings of de Ruiter et al. in Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS). The animation breaks down the key methodology and results, providing a clear, visual summary designed to accelerate comprehension for reviewers and broad audiences with voice-over by Jim de Ruiter. This style is ideal for journals, grant applications, and research promotion initiatives requiring rapid visual clarity.
